ALL IN WELLBEING FIRST FOR HEALTHCARE
A CALL TO ACTION FROM:
The opportunity is for every healthcare organization to commit to prioritizing WellBeing strategies, resources and policies in the healthcare workplace.
The health care workforce is seeing unprecedented rates of burnout and trauma as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, almost half of the workforce does not feel valued by their organizations.
#First Responders First and the Dr. Lorna Breen Heroes’ Foundation, in collaboration with the American Medical Association, American Nurses Foundation, the Schwartz Center for Compassionate Healthcare, and American Hospital Association have come together to identify a future state where the healthcare workforce feels valued and can sustain their sense of purpose and meaning in their work. In order to accomplish this objective, we have created a call to action inviting all healthcare leaders to affirm their commitment to the well-being of their workforce by joining the All-In WellBeing First for Healthcare campaign.
“We are facing a mental health crisis in healthcare that will go beyond the routine, daily moral injury of this system.
Too often people look back and say ‘They seemed fine.’
Of course we’re not fine.”
