SUMMARY OF PROGRAMS

Below you will find a summary of programs implemented by the Dr. Lorna Breen Heroes’ Foundation. Our work is driven by a commitment to cross-sector collaboration, and none of these efforts would be possible without our robust community of support at national, state, and local levels.

The ALL IN Campaign

The ALL IN: WellBeing First for Healthcare campaign was developed by #FirstRespondersFirst and The Dr. Lorna Breen Heroes’ Foundation as a coalition of leading healthcare organizations committed to:

Goal #1: Advance a state where the well-being of the healthcare workforce is prioritized and individual healthcare workers feel valued and supported so they can sustain their sense of purpose and meaning in their work

Goal #2: Make beneficial progress against persistent mental health and well-being challenges that disadvantage our healthcare workers, and therefore, our healthcare systems and the future of public health

Today the ALL IN network exceeds 1 million healthcare voices, and has been a leader in driving grantmaking for high-impact solutions to protect health worker well-being.

ALL IN: Caring for Caregivers

Through ALL IN’s signature initiative, “Caring for Caregivers”, we are leading implementation of a program to achieve ALL IN Goal #2. We launched in Virginia, where we are partnering with leading medical associations to help guide hospitals and healthcare systems to create the best environment to deliver patient care in the country.  To do this, we designed a program that requires hospitals and healthcare systems to commit to four solutions directed by the Dr. Lorna Breen Heroes’ Foundation and enhanced by a year-long educational series. More than a half dozen states are interested in following this model, which  solidifies a healthy environment that protects the wellbeing of the workforce.

ALL IN: Funders Circle

Building on the success of ALL IN and responding to increased demand and urgency, we are launching the ALL IN: Funders Circle to involve a wider spectrum of funders engaged in health worker well-being.

Through this collective grantmaking, we seek to engage cross-sector funders who recognize the severity of need and are seeking effective, vetted opportunities to advance comprehensive solutions, as stated in ALL IN Goal #1. We must also shift the cultural stigma around health workers accessing mental health services by identifying and eliminating barriers that disadvantage them.
