ALL IN: CARING FOR CAREGIVERS
ALL IN: Caring for Caregivers is our signature program to improve the professional well-being and mental health of health workers. The program can be delivered to individual organizations such as medical groups, outpatient clinics, hospitals, clinical departments or long term care facilities or in groups of healthcare organizations. We are guiding these organizations to create the best environment to deliver patient care. Our program has three initial phases beginning with organizations making a public commitment to the well-being of their workforce by eliminating local barriers to mental health care for licensed health workers. This phase culminates with national recognition and the award of the ALL IN Champions Challenge Badge for Licensing and Credentialing.
The second phase includes participation in a digital curriculum designed to enhance understanding of the drivers of burnout and successful approaches to reduce health worker distress. This phase concludes with the creation of a twelve month action plan by organizations which they implement in Phase Three. During Phase Three, organizations are placed into communities of learning designed to accelerate positive change in their twelve month plan. ALL IN: Caring for Caregivers launched first in Virginia in 2022 with the goal of making Virginia the best place in the country to deliver patient care and practice medicine. The Dr. Lorna Breen Heroes’ Foundation has led ALL IN: Caring for Virginia’s Caregivers along with the Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association, Medical Society of Virginia and Virginia Nursing Association and has a track record of successful change initiation and support across almost every hospital in Virginia.
